What Are Joint Mobilisations?

Joint mobilisations (mobs) are low velocity manoeuvres that open up joints and restore range of motion (ROM).

These are performed passively so that surrounding muscles can readjust without damage.

Osteopathic mobilisations have 4 grades which are used according to the type of injury.
Grade I - low amplitude; beginning ROM
Grade II - high amplitude; middle ROM
Grade III - high amplitude; point of limitation
Grade IV - high amplitude; end ROM
